Big Pun Plaza's Co-Naming Ceremony 

Today on March 22, 2021, we celebrated the street naming of a rap icon. The Big Pun Plaza's Co-Naming Ceremony was epic. Christopher Rios(Big Punisher aka Big Pun), a Bronx rapping legend was honored at the popular intersection of Fordham Road and Grand Concourse. As this legend rests in peace, his legacy lives on through his music, family, borough and community. This event was full of love. Al Pizarro, Co-founder of Hip Hop Blvd NYC  was there. Sal Abbatiello of  Fever Records showed up in full support. Ruben Diaz Jr. and City Councilman Fernando Cabrera spoke to the attendees in honor of our Bronx legend. Other  hip hop trailblazers (DJ Red Alert, Grandmaster Cash,  Geechie Dan, DJ Flame and many more came out in full support. Big Pun's family was so proud. Thank you to the  NYPD officers who were there. They were one with the community. This event was peaceful, fun, iconic, legendary and educational. With masks on, we celebrated our beloved icon, Big Pun.
