NYC Vaccine For All: SAFE, FREE, EASY
06-10-2021
Two New York City Mobile Vax Buses were on Brook Avenue and 138th Street on June 10th. They allowed walk-ins and appointments. The Pfizer vaccine, which is two doses (one on one day and the second on another day) was given to those who came. An ID was required as well as a few questions to see if I qualified. Many are afraid of needles but it wasn't too bad. In all honesty, when I saw the needle, I panicked. I started praying out loud. Lol! However, it made for a good laugh. I put my big girl shoes on and allowed Tylona(the nurse) to give me my first Pfizer shot. After one shot was given in one bus, I was required to go into the other bus for 15 minutes to ensure that there were no allergic reactions, etc...When the 15 minutes were up, I was given my next appointment by Louis Ortiz. Now I can make an attempt to convince some of my family and friends that it wasn't that bad and that I'm still alive.
