Shauna A Grant was all smiles at her booth at The 7th Annual Black Comic Festival. I loved all the pink and realized why when I read her info page. She is quoted as saying, "I especially have a deep love for everything Magical Girls, which I let fuel my art in all its cuteness." Check put this queens work.

Jamila Rowser(Black Girl Making Magic) was present at The 7th Annual Black Comic Festival 2019. She has quite a few books and projects under her belt. One that stands out for me is "Wash Day."
"Wash Day is a slice-of-life comic that pays tribute to the beauty and endurance of Black women and their hair. The story follows Kimana, a 26-year-old woman living in the Bronx, as she cares for her long, thick hair. As Kim goes through her Sunday morning rituals, we see the highs and lows of her day—fresh coffee, rising rent, girl talk and catcalls." Let's support one another. Link Below.

The 7th Annual Black Comic Festival 2019 was epic. Mr. N Steven Harris, whose "credits also include Batman: Officer Down, Batman 80pp Giant The Huntress (DC Comics), Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty, Generation X, X-Force, and Deadpool Annual ’98 (Marvel Entertainment)" was in attendance. Get to know these amazing people. Introduce your children, and peers to some of their work. They have so much wisdom.
